Chapter 9
The next morning she wakes to a Instagram story she’s been tagged in.
A photo of her and Saxton. Signing a document.
It’s not even real. It’s AI.
He announces a foundation in their name.
Public. Loud. Praised.
He donates millions without consulting her.
The press loves him.
Philanthropist Twin Redeems Family Name.
Michelle watches the headlines rewrite reality again.
“You’re laundering guilt,” she says to him later.
“I’m controlling the narrative,” Saxton replies. “You should thank me.”
The next day she’s laying out by the pool.
Two butlers standing either side.
One holding champagne.
One holding a towel that’s been ridiculously folded into some sort of bird.
“Theres a man at the door” one of them tells her, hearing through his ear piece.
“Who is it?” she asks.
“He says he has a message from your grandfather”
